该纪录片是国内首部“反美食”的美食纪录片。人类的文明史，其实就是食物的进化史，在漫长岁月中，赖以生存的“食物”逐渐变成了“美食”，各种烹饪手段也让食材变得美味多滋。但世界之大无奇不有，在美食的地图中，总有不同地区不同风味的传统被沿袭保存至今，而这些经过历史洗礼的“美食”，糅合了传统、地理、人文等因素，成为了当地人的热衷之物、游子心中“家”的味道，也成为了一座城市的独特记忆。不过这些传统美食在外乡人眼中，似乎有着另一种符号化的概念：奇葩、可怕、难闻……主创团队以此为灵感，搜寻遍布在中国大江南北的“奇葩”美食，体验当地风土人情，探寻美食与地域、人文之间的关系。。Two friends work as cleaners whose jobs are to clean homes and places where people have died or dead bodies are found. One day, they are tasked with cleaning a house where there were three dead bodies inside. Their job is to clean the corpses that have rotted. When they arrived there, they found that there are strange things happening and then they discover a strange book.。
