七仙女（罗慧娟 饰）和义妹张巧嘴（周莉 饰）同为天庭的神仙，某日，两人下凡赏灯，偶遇了身世可怜的穷书生董勇（李志奇 饰）。董勇的善良和正直同时吸引了前仙女和张巧嘴，一番波折之后，董勇和七仙女结为了夫妻，而张巧嘴却误打误撞的嫁给了傅家大少爷傅官保（闾汉彪 饰）为妻。 四人生活在同一屋檐下，难免矛盾重重。张巧嘴妒忌七仙女和董勇的恩爱，起了歹心。她返回天庭将七仙女和董勇的事情告诉了玉皇大帝（张国立 饰），然而聪明反被聪明误，张巧嘴反被贬入凡间。天兵天将来到了七仙女家中将七仙女捉拿回天庭，而此时的七仙女腹中早已经有了董勇的骨肉。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs.
