2003年中央电视台春节联欢晚会是由金越为总导演的联欢晚会，由倪萍、朱军、李咏、周涛主持，有歌曲、相声、小品、杂技、综艺表演、魔术等节目。。一部以十九世纪为背景的古装剧，处境是豪华的歌剧院，主角是一对歌剧作曲及作词排挡。上半部是两人的斗气斗戏，下半段则讲作曲家受日本文化感染而编出经典剧目《THE MIKADO》。影片多幕戏中台上戏，令人叹为观止。。A clever fortune-hunter with a penchant for murder does in his elderly, supposedly rich, wife and manages to get away with it.
