Jack is seen in all seasons, surviving frugally, passing the time with strange projects, living the radical dream he had as a younger man, a dream he spent two years ...。秋柄为人市井草根，与好友大啤以经营雪糕车生意为生，人生无目标地混沌度过。低学历的他虽对爱情有幻想，但他明白自己的斤两，因而从不想入非非。直到房东的女儿朱蒂出现，她的积极乐观以及对爱情主动出击的态度让秋柄慢慢爱上了这个女孩，只是“我爱你”这三个字，秋柄总是说不出口。后来朱蒂成了白领，与秋柄的差距越拉越大，身份的界限迫使二人重新思考他们的关系。。
