本片讲述了性格孤僻、垂垂老矣的魏大雪和她的狗生活在北京胡同的一个小四合院里，一切的起点和终结也都这里。日复一日的独居生活平静而乏味，魏大雪与人、与市井生活之间仿佛有一道透明的墙，触之冰冷。突然发生的一系列冲突打破了她本来平静的生活，在经历了 恐惧、痛苦、挣扎、释然的过程之后，一切仿佛又归于了平静。然而，此时所有事情的真相才真正展开……。In a Himalayan polyandrous village, pregnant PEMA faces scrutiny as her husband vanishes. With her monk brother-in-law, her de facto spouse, she seeks him in the wild, unraveling her own self-discovery along the journey。Women are disappearing without a trace in Rajasthan and nobody seems surprised. But police officer Anjali Bhaati notices a similarity in the cases: long nightly phone calls and a boyfriend that no one in the neighbourhood has ever seen.。
