叶肃（姜潮 饰），张一闲（蒋雪鸣 饰），黄大中（王厦 饰）为了爱情与梦想，毕业后决定留在大城市打拼，他们相信凭借自己的学历和聪明才智一定会闯出一片天地，于是开始了投简历，面试，被拒，再投简历，再面试……的生活。现实是残酷无奈的，虽然找到了工作，但却不是想象中的那样，被老板骂，被同事调侃，早出晚归却依然不能够让老板满意……但是他们依然意气风发，斗志昂扬，提案，重组团队，加班陪客户，乘坐末班公交车……当一切看似走上正轨，却出现各种变故，叶肃被富二代女朋友劈腿并为了尊严辞职，张一闲被炒鱿鱼，黄大中为了友情裸辞…… 　　在经过应聘、上班、辞职等一系列现实与内心的挣扎后，三位好基友决定自己决定自己的前途，于是化身“奇葩甘蔗男”开始了创业之路……。Piper moves to New York for a fresh start, there she meets Austin an aspiring writer.
