文明（江欣燕）和饺子（郭晋安）两兄弟自小隐居山林，与外世隔绝。义父死后，决意闯荡江湖，两个无知少年乌龙百出。后来两人进入秋山派，拜司马行空（白彪）为师，大师兄达生平（陶大宇）不被行空信任，故谋夺掌门之位，并对师妹宋婉儿只视作玩物，无心理会。 文明聪敏好玩，与咏咏(黎芷珊)和洛静琳（陈佩珊）成斗气冤家；饺子忠直习武有成，可惜被误当杀人凶手，遭正派追捕，幸得红叶教教主毛语问收留，其养女素素（刘秀萍）更钟情于饺子。此时文明被揭发是行空的私生女，遂被逼学作女人。咏与琳痛斩情丝，师兄胡刚却展开追求，而文明与饺子渐发展成爱侣。秋山派与红叶教正邪不两立，平暗中煽动两派互攻，做收渔人之利。但却令夹于两派的文、饺陷于苦恋。他两不容平奸计得逞，决联手对付。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
