老夫子漫画的主编王泽决定封笔，导致本来衣食无忧的漫画人物老夫子和大番薯顿时成了失业青年，两人出尽招数找工作却屡屡碰壁。 这日，CID峰（谢霆锋 饰）和女友Miss张（张柏芝 饰）正因张母反对二人在一起而苦恼，老夫子和大番薯因得罪黑社会老大金爷被追杀，引发了一场大车祸。车祸中峰和Miss张失去了记忆，痊愈后两人形同陌路。 金爷十分看好峰，认为他是自己最合适的接班人，于是骗峰说自己是他的契爷，峰加入了黑社会。同时，Miss张恢复了一点记忆，回到了学校教书。一次峰在拉学生加入黑社会时，遇到了Miss张。峰对Miss张一见钟情，展开了猛烈追求。Miss张因记起自己已有一位恋人而拒绝了峰，峰陷入了低谷。这时，金爷发现峰加入后自己一直倒霉，于是准备除掉峰。关键时候，老夫子和大番薯赶到了！。When a group of old college friends, now in their 30s, gather over Christmas at their recently deceased friend's remote mountain cabin to celebrate his life, they see it as an opportunity to come together as the cohesive unit they once were.
